Dearest friends, those of you who can, please help us also by spreading the word to friends and relatives. Our kids do not have a place to enjoy some play time, a place which could also be useful for us in sowing and harvesting times, and for all we do to give a future to our orphanage. We do not have any source of income and have to buy everything, and this is not sustainable because it only relies on donations. Our kids are ill and need medicines and sometimes special cures too, a good diet and good education. I rely on the Providence and on your kind help for this small project which I hope can be accomplished.

Carissimi, chi puo’ dia una mano chiedendo anche ad amici, parenti e conoscenti. I piccoli non hanno un luogo per poter passare un po’ di tempo divertendosi e che nello stesso tempo ci aiuti nel momento della semina e del raccolto. Che sia utile per tutto quello che facciamo per dare un futuro al centro. Il centro non ha nessuna entrata e deve comprare tutto, e cio’ diventa un grosso problema quando le finanze (gli aiuti) scarseggiano. Sono bambini ammalati e bisognosi di medicine e a volte anche di cure particolari, di buona alimentazione e di buona istruzione. Affido alla Provvidenza e a voi questo progettino che spero possa essere portato avanti.

BEST WISHES OF A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015

We and our little ones would like to give you news about us. Our family grows with the new arrivals Renata, Happy, Gabriele, Karista, and Giorgio, each of them leaving their own sad story behind. Renata is 10 months old and has no mother. Nobody was taking care of her, and she was a burden. Happy is one year old, and comes from the village near our piece of land. Her mother has a mental disorder, and she was looked after by her grandfather.  She was starving, but she is now healthy and happy. Gabriele is 18 months, he cannot walk yet, and he was in desperate conditions when he arrived. Now he is able to sit alone, he is gaining strength, he smiles with the other kids, and this makes us hope that very soon he will also run with them.

What to say about Karista? As soon as she was born she was thrown in the sewage. She was rescued just in time and taken to the hospital. Now she is well, she is five months and she is the most beautiful flower. She is still too young to realize how much we love her, but we are sure she feels cared and well beloved as the other kids do.

You might wonder how our older ones are. They are doing good. Martino has just finished his high school exams and we are waiting for the outcome, fingers crossed. Others have passed primary school exams and will start secondary school. Some of the little ones who were at the kindergarten will start primary school. Our family grows and carries on with its joys and problems. We and you are here for them. Thanks to your help we manage to cope with what their relatives do not even want to touch.

Please keep helping us, as the shepherds did by bringing their gifts to the Baby Jesus, and as we do bring our own gifts made of sacrifices. The baby that we see in the grotto smiles at us and blesses us, saying:

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I was sick and you cured me. What reward could be greater than serving the most lonely and abandoned?

Il nostro appuntamento alla grotta di Betlemme

AUGURI DI BUON NATALE E FELICE ANNO 2015

Assieme ai nostri piccoli vogliamo conversare un po’ con voi facendovi avere nostre notizie. La nostra famiglia cresce, sono arrivati: Renata, Happy, Gabriele, Karista e Giorgio. Ognuno con la sua penosa storia. Renata, 10 mesi, orfana di mamma, nessuno si prendeva cura della piccola, era come un peso. Happy, un anno, viene dal villaggio vicino al nostro campo, la mamma non ci sta con la testa, il nonno si prendeva cura della piccola che soffriva la fame ed era denutrita. Ora sta bene, e’ paffutella e felice. Gabriele, 18 mesi, ancora non cammina, le sue condizioni erano disperate all’arrivo al centro. Ora il piccolo comincia a stare seduto, le forze piano piano ritornano, sorride assieme agli altri. Questo segno positivo ci fa sperare che presto anche lui correra’ assieme agli altri.

Cosa dire di Karista? Appena nata buttata nel pozzo nero. Salvata in tempo, portata in ospedale, ora sta bene. Ha cinque mesi, e’ un fiore di bambina, anche se e’ piccola per capire tutto il bene che le vogliamo, sono sicura che sente di essere circondata come gli altri bambini di cure e affetto.

Carissimi vi chiederete come stanno i  piu ’ grandi. Complessivamente bene, Martino ha terminato la scuola secondaria e si aspetta l’esito degli esami, speriamo bene. Altri hanno terminato la scuola elementare e inizieranno a frequentare la secondaria perche’ hanno superato gli esami. I piccoli dell’asilo vanno avanti, qualcuno frequentera’ la prima classe. La famiglia cresce e va avanti con tutte le gioie e i problemi che porta con se’. Noi e voi ci siamo e lo siamo per loro, grazie al vostro aiuto riusciamo a portare avanti quello che spesso i parenti dei nostri piccoli non vogliono toccare nemmeno con un dito.

Continuate ad aiutarci e come i pastori portarono i loro doni al Bambinello Gesu’, cosi anche noi portiamo i nostri che sono fatti di rinuncie e piccoli sacrifici. Il Bambinello che vediamo nella grotta ci sorride e ci benedice mentre ci dice:

AVEVO FAME E MI HAI DATO DA MANGIARE, AVEVO SETE E MI HAI DATO DA BERE, ERO NUDO E MI HAI VESTITO, MALATO E MI HAI CURATO. QUALE RICOMPENSA PIU’ GRANDE PER NOI SE NON ESSERE AL SERVIZIO DEI PIU’ PICCOLI, SOLI E ABBANDONATI?
