CURRENT PROJECTS:

• Educational project: we need support for the upcoming  school year to pay tuition fees for the children, and to cover other expenses such as school uniforms, shoes, books, schoolbags, stationery, etc. You can help our Educational Project by sponsoring a child with a monthly donation.

• Water project: we are looking for funding to build a well, which will provide water for irrigation, and will allow us to grow crops and fruit trees. In the long term, this will help us

  greatly reduce the costs of the orphanage, since we won’t have to buy fruit and vegetables from the market. You can help us fulfil 

  the Water Project by making a donation that will contribute to the construction of the well.

• Farm project: we welcome any donations to buy a small piece of land, where we can build a cowshed, a post for the watchman, and some animals. This will provide us with meat and milk for the children, which are otherwise expensive to buy at the market. You can support our Farm Project by donating money that will be spent to buy the land and some of the animals.

• Agricultural project.  We bought a piece of land for crop, where we are now planning to build a well for irrigation (see the Water Project above). This project was funded by the association “Gli amici di Venezia” with a donation of €6.000.

• Minibus. We bought a 27-seater van that now allows us to take the children out to get their medication at the hospital without having to pay for public transport. With this van we can also take the kids for day trips to the park or to the beach during the holidays. This project was funded by the association “Gli amici di Venezia” with a donation of €16.000.

• Education for everyone. Thanks to several donations and individuals who sposored the children, we paid the tuition fees for all of them and we covered all the costs related to education. This project was funded by several donors.

• Orphanage extension. We built a new section of the orphanage that provided enough space for the dorms and for a dining hall. This project had a cost of €150.000 and was funded by the Rotary Club, the association “Un raggio di luce”, and other individual donors.
